George HaffendenLegendary funk group Kool & The Gang are set to release their first album in nearly a decade and have released their first single Sexy.
Few groups have had as many hits or as much longevity as Kool & The Gang. Now in their fifth decade, the group are set to release a brand new album this year, the first since their 2013 Christmas album Kool for the Holidays and their 2007 album Still Kool. The first single of the yet-to-be-titled album is entitled ‘Sexy‘, combining the hard, thumping bass of their earlier funk days with the smooth soul and R&B of their eighties hey-day. It’s a pretty infectious song and hopefully will prove to be a good indicator of things to come! The group recently performed the song plus a medley of hits live on the Today programme, putting in a stellar performance.
